Man accused of rape, false imprisonment

A 60-year-old Lake Charles man is accused of holding a woman against her will and raping her.

On Friday, August 3, 2018, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local hospital in reference to a rape, according to Kim Myers, spokeswoman for the office.

When detectives spoke with the victim she stated an acquaintance, John Ledoux held her against her will and raped her the previous day.  During further investigation it was learned her injuries, as well as, evidence at the crime scene corroborated what she told detectives, state Myers.    

Detectives located Ledoux later the same day and he was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail and charged with first degree rape; and false imprisonment.  

Judge Guy Bradberry set his bond at $700,000.
