New Orleans Police are asking for help from the public in locating and identifying three people wanted for taking thousands in cash from old folks.

Police say they employed the same MO in June, July and as recently as yesterday.

In each of these incidents, the victims told police that they were driving their vehicle when the suspects allegedly followed them in a white van, blowing their horn and asking for the victim to pull over. Once stopped, the victims told police, the two Hispanic males pictured then exit the van and convince the victim that they saw a problem with the victim’s vehicle tire and offer to fix it for a fee.

Two of the victims also told police that in their respective incidents, the suspects attempted to bring the victim to an ATM to withdraw money, but were unsuccessful.

Each of the victims told police that the suspects convinced them to go to the victim’s respective residences in the Fourth District to obtain money. Once there, the female suspect reportedly acted as a distraction while the male suspects entered the home asking if they could use the restroom. In each incident, after the males exited the home and the suspects left the scene, the victims each reported thousands of dollars of either jewelry or cash had been stolen from their residences.

The three are known to drive in a white van pictured below with an unknown license plate. The perpetrators are targeting older people. They are reported to be very polite and claim to be “Christians” who just want to help.

If you feel that you are being followed or approached by the wanted individuals or vehicle depicted below, do not engage with the suspects for any reason and contact police immediately.

Anyone with any information on the identity or the whereabouts of the above suspects are asked to call any Fourth District officer at 504-658-6040 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-111 or 1-877-903-7867.
