Two men were injured following a boating accident in Iberia Parish this afternoon.
Wildlife and Fisheries agents were dispatched to the Grevinburg area of the Atchafalaya Basin at 2:30 p.m.
Agents say a man was driving his son and son’s friend in an aluminum bass boat when it hit a tree stump, causing the son and friend to go overboard.
The men were airlifted to a Lafayette hospital via AirMed with moderate to serious injuries.
Agents say all three men were wearing life jackets.
The accident is currently under investigation.
