The Rayne Police Department says the man wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on Friday has turned himself in.
Police say 23-year-old Edward Dontreal Nickson, III was arrested on Monday in connection with a shooting in the 600 block of Holt Avenue in Rayne.
In that incident police say that Nickson shot a victim in the right leg. That person was taken to a hospital for treatment and was listed in stable condition.
Nickson turned himself into police and was booked on one count of attempted second-degree murder. His bond has been set at 300,000.
