A Breaux Bridge woman is helping people in need of a place to sleep while also being green.
Cheryl Morvant makes sleeping mats out of plastic shopping bags that would normally go to waste by weaving them together.
Morvant accepts donated bags and creates the mats while she’s not at work.
She says they work because the mats are durable and can stand to get wet.
Morvant is hoping to reach every person in need of a mat.
