One person has been arrested in connection with a lawn mower theft at a Scott home last Wednesday.
The Scott Police Department released photos from video surveillance showing a man and a woman exit a vehicle and approach a home in the 2800 block of W. Willow Street. Police say the suspects then loaded the Husqvarna riding lawn mower into the back of their vehicle.
On Friday, Mitchell Thomas, Jr., of Lafayette, arrived at the Scott Police Department and told officers he was the man in the video, according to a spokesperson for the police department.
After some questioning and additional investigation, Thomas was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center with felony theft. He has been released on bond.
Police are still searching for the second suspect.
