Broussard firefighters are investigating a fire at the Camelot Assisted Living apartments. The fire has been extinguished.
Chief Bryan Champagne says the fire started in a resident’s room on the second floor of the building.
The building has been evacuated, he says.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is unclear at this time.
