The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a teenager in connection with the fatal shooting Monday night in New Iberia.
Deputies say they arrested 17-year-old Jorie Walker in connection with the Monday night shooting death of 20-year-old Levonne Johnson in New Iberia.
Deputies say that Walker allegedly followed Johnson to the parking lot and confronted him about belongings which deputies say he believed Johnson had stolen.
During the confrontation, deputies say that Walker pulled out a handgun and shot Johnson multiple times.
