Seven winners are taking home cash after the Fortnite Battle Royale Tournament.

The event was the first eSports tournament to be held at the Cajundome.

Gamers from all over the country competed over two days.

Coming in first place Sunday night was gamer tag One left to snipe with a score of 4-71.

LUS Director Terry Huval credits the Lafayette electric utility company for making it happen.

"To have an entity like this to show up here in Lafayette because we have the fiber system in place is really powerful. What would have happened if we didn’t have LUS Fiber in place? This event would not be happening here. There is nobody else that can provide this capability."
