Lafayette police investigating two overnight shootings

Three people are injured after two separate shootings in Lafayette overnight. 

Officers responded to the first shooting in the 100 block of Lacobie Street at 10:20 p.m. on Saturday and found one victim suffering from gunshot wounds, a spokesperson for the police department says.

Officers also located a nearby home and vehicle that were damaged by gunshots.  

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to be okay.

Later on at 2:40 a.m., officers were called to a local hospital where two people were receiving treatment for gunshot wounds. 

Officers believe that shooting occurred near the intersection of Cajundome Boulevard and Reinhardt Drive. 

No arrests have been reported. Both shootings remain under investigation.
