Three killed in two-vehicle crash in St. Martin Parish

Two St. Martinville High School students are among the three killed in a Friday morning crash on Hwy. 96 in St. Martin Parish, according to Superintendent Lottie Beebe. The identity of the third person has not released yet. A sophomore was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

UPDATE 10:00 a.m. – Highway 96 in St. Martin Parish has reopened following a Friday morning crash that left three people dead.

State Police are investigating the crash and the identities of the victims will be released pending notification of relatives.

KATC will have more information as it becomes available.

State Police say that three people were killed this morning in a crash on Highway 96 in St. Martin Parish.  

Three other people are in critical condition and were transported to a local hospital.

Troopers say Highway 96 near Par Road 7 is closed at this time. Witnesses say that two cars were involved in the accident.
