Washington Police searched an abandoned house on West Vine Street today after receiving a tip about a body, but nothing was found.
Chief Latoya Trent said the department received a credible tip that a body was hidden either in the home or in a nearby well. She said cadaver dogs were brought in, and a dog did signal for his handler in the area, but no body has been found.
There wasn’t a well, but there was an old septic tank on the property, and it was drained, but there wasn’t anything there, she said.
