Two arrested in connection with convenience store shooting in Rayne

Two men wanted for attempted murder in Rayne have been arrested.

Demoine Declouette, Jr., 20, and Deion Declouette, 19, both of Opelousas were arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder related to the shooting that occurred at a convenience store on Thursday, April 19 in Rayne. 

Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly says that the two, who are brothers, were a part of a group that had an ongoing dispute with another group of people. Those two group allegedly crossed paths on Thursday at the Econo Mart on Hwy 90 in Rayne where shots were fired. 

Police say no one was hit or injured during the shooting.
