Today’s COOL SCHOOL is Gueydan High School!
Mrs. Rani’s high school speech-language therapy students at Gueydan High School learned about litter, with emphasis on plastic waste, and about recycling/reusing/reducing. Following the lesson, they participated in a "Caps for Canes" drive where they collected plastic bottle caps and gave the donors candy canes in exchange for the caps. Upon drive completion, they found a creative way to reuse the collected bottle caps. Each student created "Bottle Cap Art" which was accompanied by a description of the art work and displayed for all those at GHS to enjoy.
