Acadiana Animal Aid is cleaning up the damage left behind by this morning’s storms.

Acadiana Animal Aid is a no-kill shelter located in Carencro.

According to a spokesperson with the shelter, no animals were injured, but heavy winds knocked down trees and fences on the property. The spokesperson said the weather made the animals nervous.

As of this 9 a.m. this morning, the shelter was without electricity.

The spokesperson says the staff is thankful their situation isn’t worse, and they’re hoping with some help from the community, operations will soon be back up and running.
