The Krewe of Carnivale en Rio rolled last night in Lafayette.

The parade started at 6:30 p.m. at Pontiac Point, which is where Simcoe and Surrey streets meet Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette. Rio then traveled through Lafayette, ending on N College Drive near the Cajundome. For a full look at the route, click here.

This year’s grand marshals are the Saintsations. Among the Saintsations in the parade is Maurice native Jesse Hernandez.

The Krewe of Rio is known for their large amount of throws and colorful costumes.
