LAFAYETTE, La. — On Sunday, May 5, 2024, a crash occurred at 2321 Kaliste Saloom Road, according to the Lafayette Parish Communication District.
The crash resulted in a car overturning in front of Spa Mizan.
Several agencies responded to the scene.
According to Sergeant Robin Green of the Lafayette Police Department, the crash was a result of a suspect attempting to evade officers after a domestic incident.
As a result of his erratic driving, the suspect - Drevian Dugas, 22, of Lafayette - struck a vehicle in the 2300 block of Kaliste Road at the intersection of Lake Farm Road, which caused it to roll over. The suspect's vehicle then crossed into oncoming traffic where it struck a second vehicle.
The suspect's vehicle was immobilized by an LPD officer's unit, Green said.
