Did you make a New Year’s resolution to drink more water in 2020? If so, Jelly Belly is about to make it easier for you to achieve this goal. The beloved jelly bean purveyors have announced that they are getting into the sparkling water game.
Made with zero calories, zero grams of sugar and zero sweeteners, the Jelly Belly sparkling water will come in eight tempting flavors including French Vanilla, Lemon Lime, Orange Sherbet, Piña Colada, Pink Grapefruit, Tangerine, Very Cherry and Watermelon.
Each variation has only two simple ingredients — carbonated water and natural flavors — so you won’t blow your diet when you enjoy one of these jelly-bean-flavored delights.
Jelly Belly is a seventh-generation, family-run business, and, in fact, a family Mother’s Day party is where the idea for a Jelly Belly sparkling water lineup was born.
“We were on the back patio, drinking a couple of the more popular sparkling water brands, when I said out loud, ‘If only someone could nail a sparkling water with really stand-out flavors,'” co-founder of Joffer Beverage Company, Stephen Joffer, said in a recent press release.
“The lightbulb came on when my dad suggested, ‘Why not our own Jelly Belly flavors? We are known for flavor innovation, after all.'”
You can look for Jelly Belly’s new sparkling waters on shelves starting this week at the grocery store chain Hy-Vee. If you don’t live near a Hy-Vee, don’t worry — you’ll soon be able to buy Jelly Belly’s sparkling water online.
In the meantime, you can satisfy your need for jelly-bean-flavored water with Jelly Belly water enhancer. You simply squirt the desired amount of your chosen flavor (Berry Blue, Green Apple, Island Punch, Lemon Drop, Tutti Frutti or Very Cherry) into your water bottle or glass, then stir and enjoy!
You can find Jelly Belly water enhancers on Amazon, where a pack of four bottles is $12.99 and yields 96 servings of flavored water.
Who knew candy could be so good for you?
