Jeff Davis Electric will have a scheduled outage tomorrow, July 30, starting at 9 a.m.
The outage is necessary to ensure some crews working between two gas lines are safe, officials say.
Residents on La. 383, Abie Fontenot Road, Carl Hoppe Road, Gordon Denison Road and Newcomer Road will be affected.
Officials say they expect the outage to last about four hours.
