Everybody is getting “Frozen” fever now that the sequel to one of Disney’s biggest hit animated movies has hit the big screen — even the newborn babies at Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas.
Staff dressed the tiny tots in hand-knitted costumes to turn them into miniature versions of Anna, Elsa and Olaf, and the pics are guaranteed to thaw even the coldest of hearts this winter. The hospital also posted a video on its Facebook page, showing members of staff dressing the babies in all their crocheted glory.
“Here’s a little something to warm your heart. For the first time in forever, our babies at Saint Luke’s South are dressing up for the release of #Frozen2!” said the video caption.
“Let them in! Let them see! Our maternity ward at Saint Luke’s South has been ‘Frozen’ over,” said the photo caption. “Anna, Elsa, and Olaf are here and they all like warm hugs. Remember, love is always an open door at Saint Luke’s. Don’t let it go! #Frozen2”
The baby dressed as Princess Elsa wore a teal gown. Her look was topped off with a hat that featured her signature blond braids.
Meanwhile, the Princess Anna-inspired outfit had black boots and a floral dress, plus with a cap that featured her long red braids — not forgetting the white streak!
Mom Jenae Haydu revealed on Facebook that her daughter was among those dressed up.
“Thanks Saint Luke’s for letting my little Charlotte be princess Anna for a day!!” she wrote in the comments. “It was soo cute and fun. We loved every minute of it.”
According to Parents, the costumes come from a Texas-based Etsy shop called Loveable Crochet, which offers a wide range of movie-inspired costumes for babies, including “Wonder Woman,” “Harry Potter,” “Toy Story” and “Monsters, Inc.”
“Frozen 2” hit theaters on Nov. 22 and made history on its opening weekend, pulling in $350.2 million to become the animated film with the biggest opening of all time.
