Opelousas police are currently on the scene of a shooting that resulted in the death on one male victim.
According to the Opelousas Police Department, the shooting took place around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15 in the 800 block of Jerome Loop.
Officers have detained several persons of interest in connection to the investigation.
