A fairly pleasant Thanksgiving is in the works when it comes to the weather forecast. We'll see a significant amount of cloud cover today, but temperatures will be comfortable. Expect early morning temperatures in the low to mid 50s, with highs reaching the upper 60s to near 70 degrees this afternoon. There will be a light breeze out of the east at 5-10 mph.
Overnight, another storm system will crank up out west. This will start to bring muggier conditions into the area into Friday. For shoppers early in the day, temperatures will drop into the lower 50s. This doesn't seem too cold, but when you're hanging outside in line for several hours, it will get chilly. For shoppers who sleep in, you'll see partly to mostly cloudy skies during the afternoon. Highs will reach the lower 70s.
Saturday is when the next cold front will push through. It appears we'll start Saturday with lots of clouds and temperatures in the lower 60s. Rain chances will start to pick up during the afternoon. This could affect tailgating at Cajun Field as highs top out near 80 degrees. Rains will pick up during the early evening hours, just about the time the Cajuns take the field. At this time, there doesn't look to be a lot of thunder associated with this system. Rainfall totals are expected to be near 1/4 inch. The front will pass through overnight Saturday with gradual clearing into Sunday. Expect sunny skies to return Sunday with temperatures in the 60s.
