Congratulations to Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma, who got married Saturday, Dec. 21 at their home in Los Angeles. According to People, the couple — who got engaged in May and have a 14-month-old daughter, Banks Violet Bair, together — had a “small and low-key” ceremony with family and close friends.
A source told People that the pair married in their house, in a ceremony that kicked off at sunset. The nuptials were followed by a reception that took place in a white tent in the backyard.
Duff’s stylist, Jessica Paster, hinted at the festivities on Instagram, posting a close-up picture of a floral arrangement with the caption, “Winter solstice… a day of luv.”

Duff later posted a picture of her own on Instagram that confirms the couple’s status as newlyweds and shows off her stunning custom Jenny Packham bridal gown to perfection. She captioned it, simply, “This.”

The “Younger” star also posted a clip from a video she made with Vogue on Instagram, explaining just how her wedding dress came together.
“I sat down with my stylist, Jessica Paster, and we went through many designers and looked at their aesthetics, and together we settled on Jenny,” Duff told Vogue. “There’s a very modern shoulder. When we were coming up with the design, it was important to me that it was striking but simple. I couldn’t imagine wearing a big fluffy dress.”

Duff’s gown had a few sweet hidden details — the couple’s initials and the date of the wedding were embroidered into it, as well as the initials of Duff’s two kids (in addition to Banks, she has a 7-year-old son, Luca Cruz, with her ex-husband Mike Comrie).
The last 12 months have been great for Duff’s career. In addition to her role on “Younger,” she’s been busy recording new music and filming the upcoming Lizzie McGuire reboot on Disney Plus.
A beautiful wedding ceremony is a pretty good way to end 2019 and look forward to the New Year. Best wishes to the newlyweds!
