KATC’s Senior Spotlight: Teurlings Catholic’s Garret Russo

LAFAYETTE (KATC) — Garret Russo is not your typical track star. The four-year middle linebacker for Teurlings Catholic has spent the last two off seasons training in the sport of javelin for coach Brad Taylor’s track and field team. 

KATC’s Senior Spotlight: Iota powerlifter Joseph Dupre

(KATC) — This week’s Senior Spotlight features Iota High School senior powerlifter, Joseph Dupre. A six-time world champion in the sport of powerlifting in the 114lb and under weight class, Dupre hopes to compete in the 132lb and under as a senior.

(KATC) — This week’s Senior Spotlight features St. Martinville senior soccer player Beau Courville. Now in its fourth season of competition, Courville is the only player to have played in all four of St. Martinvillle’s initial soccer seasons.

KATC’s High School Senior Spotlight is a weekly series designed to recognize senior, student-athletes in all sports for their accomplishments on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. This is not just for the best athletes in Acadiana, but also the best young men and women. 

(Nominated students must be seniors in High School in Acadiana.)
