OPELOUSAS — Voters in St. Landry and Evangeline Parishes, particularly in the tri-parish area near Eunice, will vote on a number of tax propositions during the November 16 election.
Every voter in St. Landry Parish will consider a proposition to renew a property tax that funds the parish jail complex. Meanwhile, voters in the Faquetique Gravity Drainage District will vote on a tax renewal to fund district operations
Voters in the Eunice Gravity Drainage District, which covers parts of both St. Landry and Evangeline Parishes, will consider a tax renewal to fund the district's operations.
In Pine Prairie, voters will consider four property tax renewals to fund road construction, road maintenance, police protection, and parks and recreation.
Early voting continues through Saturday. Polls are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at your local registrar of voters office.
