Voters in portions of Jeff Davis and St. Mary Parishes will be voting on tax and bond proposals during the November 16 general election.
In Jeff Davis Parish, voters in School Districts No. 1 (Hathaway) and No. 3 (Lake Arthur) will vote on proposals to renew property taxes to fund school maintenance and construction within those districts. Residents in School District No. 22 will vote on a bond issue. If approved, that bond issue would raise money to construct new schools within the district.
In St. Mary Parish, voters in Recreation Districts 4 and 5 will vote to renew property taxes to fund parks and recreation within those districts.
Early voting ends Saturday, November 9.
