Summer shindigs are already some of the most highly anticipated events of the year — and this DIY project will make them even better! The next time you have guests over on your patio, they could be sipping wine from an adorable flower pot wine keg.
The Food Network created this tutorial that explains how to transform your average boxed wine into the ultimate wine dispenser for your next party.
Simply remove the bag of wine that’s inside the box and measure the size of the wine bag spout, so you can cut a hole in the flower pot that the spout can fit through. Place the bag of wine into the flower pot with the spout jutting out of the hole, and then fill the pot with a beautiful faux or real floral arrangement to impress your guests!
And there you have it — an easy-to-use flower pot wine keg that’s fun, portable and great for all kinds of get-togethers. See how it’s done in this video that was posted to Instagram by The Food Network:
The best thing about this DIY is that it’s super simple to execute. You don’t have to be an expert crafter to turn your summer party into the event of the season.
And the folks who have accomplished this wine-dispensing feat have taken to Instagram to show off their handiwork.
Instagrammer @thespiceoflife_ followed the Food Network’s tutorial to make a flower pot wine dispenser for her mom, and while she doesn’t think it came out perfectly, we think it probably wowed her mom in a big way.
Speaking of the “wow” factor, Instagram user @kindof_fit_girl might take the top prize for creating a planter wine dispenser that features fresh flowers and dispenses both white and red wine.
The caption of her post reads, “Made a boxed wine dispensing planter, today! One side can distribute red wine while the other distributes white. Guaranteed to satisfy everyone at your garden party.”
Look at this impressive display of booze-related crafting!
Amazing!
So, who’s ready for that summer BBQ now?
