Darcie Ortique is your neighborhood reporter for Evangeline & Jeff Davis Parish.
Darcie was born and raised in Hartford, CT. She recently earned her Master of Science degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism (May 2022) from Syracuse University with a concentration in Sports. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and a minor in Radio, Television & Film from San Jose State University. Prior to joining the KATC TV 3 news team, Darcie interned with New Orleans Access Television (NOA-TV), The Hartford Courant, Spectrum News 1 and most recently, she interned with WRBL as a Washington Bureau Reporter from the nation's capital covering stories like the abortion rights protest, Monkeypox, COVID and inflation, to name a few.
When she's not telling impact-driven stories, Darcie enjoys spending time with her family, working out, traveling the world and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
