Getting cozy with villains may sound like a surefire way to get into some trouble. But one Etsy store owner/crafter has designed blanket patterns based on classic Disney villains that will lure anyone to the dark side — and find it surprisingly warm!

Carol Hladik of Wichita, Kansas, whipped up a collection of crochet blanket patterns that bring out the best of some of the evilest characters in Disney movies. If you’ve ever wanted to try evil on for size, these wearable blankets are a wickedly good idea!

First, let’s take a look at Hladik’s pattern inspired by one of the biggest Disney baddies of all time: Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty.”

The gorgeous royal purple and black pattern captures Maleficent’s essence perfectly. While this blanket doesn’t transform into a dragon the way Maleficent can, it still has that magical quality that turns a boring blanket into something fun!

This Horned Villain Dress Blanket pattern can be found on Etsy for only $5 as an instant download. It can be made for children as well as adults.

Now, how about something with a more royal touch? A villainous royal touch, that is.

You’ll likely find yourself shouting, “Off with her head!” once you slip into this blanket dress inspired by the Queen of Hearts from “Alice in Wonderland.” This is a blanket fit for a queen — and even though this villain may have no heart, there are plenty of crocheted hearts adorning this gorgeous gown.

Last but certainly not least, let’s go under the sea to find another of Disney’s favorite villains. Ursula the Sea Witch from “The Little Mermaid” is not one to be ignored — and anyone who wears the crochet blanket gown inspired by Ursula is sure to get noticed.

The Sea Villain Dress Blanket has Ursula’s tentacles cascading down to the bottom with a “coral-like ruffle between them.” And, of course, the Sea Witch’s blanket dress features a crochet seashell on the bodice to keep imaginary valuables safe (like a little mermaid’s voice).

You can download this pattern for $5 at the designer’s Etsy shop here.

Hladik also makes patterns for princesses as well, if you prefer to craft the dress blankets inspired by Belle, Jasmine, or Anna.

But what fun is that? If you relate to Disney villains you could also show your love through mugs available at shopDisney.com, or check out the Disney Villains Monopoly edition. You could definitely use these items while wearing cozy dress blankets.

These patterns have us thinking about slipping into something a little sinister this fall!
