We were at Daspit Elementary in New Iberia today for Tools for Schools.

We brought Chromebooks for Shalone Foco's fifth grade math classes. Tools for Schools is sponsored by the Jim Olivier Family of Companies.

"I feel very excited that we got two new Chromebooks for class because we can use them for anybody who is having trouble in class or anybody who may know more than others," said student Emma Dodge.

Student D'Kota Williams also was happy about the new computers.

"It was exciting because we got new Chromebooks that can help us do stuff like help us in math," Williams said.

Foco said the Chromebooks will really help.

"When I applied for Tools for Schools I asked for a set of Chromebook we wanted those for our classroom for a extra resource in being able to help my students. Today’s society technology is everywhere and I think the students are most comfortable with technology so it’s another piece of the puzzle that helps them to utilize all the assets that they can have." Foco said.
