Acadiana Animal Aid is reminding the community that work never ends to help rescue and re-home thousands of area pets.
Yearly fundraiser events allow Animal Aid to continue that work.
In September, Animal Aid will host its annual fundraiser “Bark in the Dark.” The event is a sit down dinner for around 450 guests. Animal Aid Director Heidi Paterson says that the money raised from the event is integral to the continued funding of animal rescue operations and sheltering.
Sponsors are still needed for the event. For more information on sponsorship opportunities contact Heidi Paterson at development@acadianaanimalaid.org.
Heidi brought along Walton to GMA to share that the shelter is always looking for homes for the puppies, dogs, cats, and kittens that they rescue.
Walton and his two brothers, Walnut and Wallaby, will be available for adoption this week along with many others. Learn how you can adopt or foster an animal at acadianaanimalaid.org.
