Pet Paws: Animal Aid to host “Kitty Shower”

Posted

Kitten season has arrived! And Acadiana Animal Aid is preparing for an influx of kitten cuteness by hosting a Kitty Shower.

Animal Aid Director Heidi Paterson says that Spring is the time when a large number of kittens begin entering the shelter. The shower is a way for the shelter to collect much-needed supplies to care for all of those new felines.

The Kitty Shower will take place on Sunday, April 28 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Animal Aid’s Cat Cottage located at 142 Le Medicin Road in Carencro.

The event is also an opportunity to visit the adoptable kittens, learn about bottle-feeding and fostering and donate supplies. Don’t forget to arrive in a cuddling mood. Paterson says the event is also a great way to socialize the kittens and show them some love.

Items like formula, baby blankets, heating pads, wet food, and litter boxes are among the items that can be donated.
