Technology firms in Lafayette will be looking to fill several positions at a virtual job fair on Thursday, May 28.

The Technology Recruitment Virtual Job Fair will look to fill tech-centered positions like software developer, engineer, cyber security, and sales.

The virtual event, which will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon, is hosted by KATC, the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, the Opportunity Machine.

"It has a virtual lobby and they'll see all the booths of the companies participating. They can select the booth, enter, look at information about the company. some companies may have videos or information. They can view opportunities within the company, and they'll select the booth and then they can even select to enter a chat with one of the recruiters," says Ryan LaGrange, Manager of Workforce Development at LEDA.

During event hours, job seekers will log into the system and participate in text-based chats with company representatives. The event can be accessed by smartphone, tablet or computer.

Participating employers include CGI, 360ia, L3 Harris, Perficient, SchoolMint, and The Integration Group of America (TIGA).
