Forty-four years after the Vietnam War era, Blue Water Navy War veterans stationed on ships between 1962 and 1975 are eligible for disability benefits if they were affected by Agent Orange.
Greg Ganier, founder and President of the Veterans Corner organization, tells us that over 90,000 veterans were affected by the tactical herbicide used by the U.S. Military during the Vietnam War.
President Donald Trump signed the "Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act" on June 25, 2019, which requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide disability benefits to veterans who served in the waters off the coast of Vietnam.
As a fund-raising effort, Veterans Corner is teaming up with Hotels Etc. to give out vacations at a lower cost for people who donate to the effort.
You also receive entries into a drawing for a $3,000 value vacation to Mexico in a first class, 5 star resort for one week.
The more you donate, the more entries you get.
Fore more information, you can go to your local parish veterans affairs office or visit the Veterans Corner website.
