In a time of closed shops, empty dining rooms and take-out only meals, running a small locally-owned business looks a lot different.
Founder of Burning Stick Creative, Amy Jones, says this is the perfect time for companies to improve upon their web presence.
"The one lesson that businesses will have learned throughout all of this is how important it is to be able to operate your business from a digital and web perspective," says Jones.
Social media is a great place to start by posting often, sharing changes during these special circumstances and staying in touch with customers who reach out. Jones says there is much more to it though.
"It should be seen as another employee and with everything that's out there in terms of e commerce today this is the perfect time to get your business to have digital fitness to make sure that it is ready especially for what this economy is going to look like when we get out of the crisis mode that we're in with the pandemic," says Jones, adding that if your website has not been updated in 2020, it is time for a refresh.
