The Ross Granger Memorial Fund will host its Dining on the Diamond event on Saturday, January 11 at the Hilton Double Tree in Lafayette.
The fund was created in memory of 19-year-old Erath High student and baseball player Ross Granger.
Granger was diagnosed with a brain tumor in May 2015 and passed away in November 2016.
One of Ross's wishes was to get a memorial fund started to help local Acadiana high school students get to college.
The faith, academics and sports-based scholarships have now benefited several students. Six scholarships have been awarded just this year.
This year's scholarship winners will be in attendance at the dinner to accept their awards.
Former American professional baseball player Darryl Strawberry will serve as keynote speaker for the night.
The event begins at 6:00 pm and will include a silent auction. For a look at items up for auction visit the Memorial Fund Facebook page.
Tickets are $75 dollars and can be purchased online at the Ross Granger Memorial Fund website.
