Racers hit the streets for Beignet Boogie run on Sunday

Happening this weekend, Vermilion Catholic is kicking off Catholic Schools Week with its 8th annual Beignet Boogie 5k and 1 mile fun run.

That event will take place Sunday, January 26th starting at 9:00 a.m.

The fun run race starts off the morning and will be followed by the 5K.

Race organizers promise a day of music, face painting, and fun jumps.

And to top it off, at the end of the race, all registered runners will receive a free beignet breakfast. Sausage, coffee and hot chocolate will also be served.

Guests and fun run participants may purchase beignets for $5.

Registration for the event ends Wednesday, January 22 at 11:59 pm.
