Today is National Girl Scout Day, and members of the Pines to the Gulf Council of the Girl Scouts are here to help us celebrate.
On this date in 1912, Juliette Low founded the organization by creating the first troop in Savannah, Georgia. Eighteen girls attended the first meeting.
Today, the group has 1.7 million girl members and another 750,000 adult members.
