The Lenten season has begun which means an increase in seafood consumption across the state.

And restaurants in Acadiana are already prepared to take in the influx of patrons reaching for the seafood menu.

Crazy Bout Crawfish in Breaux Bridge is just one of the many restaurants boiling up batches of a Cajun favorite.

Crawfish are in high demand this and every year, and owner Megan Buckner says they are prepared for their busy season.

KATC's Jamie Angelle spoke with Buckner in January about the start of crawfish season: Crawfish Season Is Officially Underway

The work gets started early at Crazy Bout Crawfish, where guests can expect platters full of crawfish, corn, potatoes, and other fixings as early as 10:00 am.

Abby Breidenbach got a taste of just what Buckner and her team are cooking up as Lent and Crawfish season get into full swing.
