Girl Scout cookie season is here and this year you'll have more buying options than you may expect.
Getting your hands on the tasty treats will be so easy this year, you won't have to leave your house.
"We already had a system set up in place and the system is called digital cookie," says Dianne Trim, the Marketing Manager for Girl Scouts of Louisiana - Pines to the Gulf.
The platform is like any e-commerce site. You choose which cookies you'd like to buy and how you want them delivered. It can be completely contactless.
Visit the Girl Scout website for more information on how to place and online order.
"It feels good to know that I don't have to go out and risk safety," says Carlin Zawacki, a local Girl Scout Cadette.
Your online purchases, though contactless, can still help the young women in our community with special projects.
"I'm working on our silver award to help save the bees. And with the money we earn, we're going to be planting pollinator gardens for bees," says Zawacki.
There will still be some traditional sales and cookie booths, but to guarantee they'll get a box customers can contact their favorite local girl scout. To help Carlin reach her goal, visit her link here.
