LAFAYETTE — On November 18th, A Pregnancy Center & Clinic is partnering with Diaper Collective of Acadiana to host a Friends-Giving diaper drive-thru to provide help in the community during the pandemic.
The diaper drive will take place at First Baptist Church at 1100 Lee Ave. in Lafayette from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
To help keep everyone involved safe, the event will be completely hands-free.
Executive Director of A Pregnancy Center & Clinic, Patrice Lewis said, "we figured doing a diaper drive-thru would be safe keeping people free from COVID. All you have to do is drive-up, we put the diapers and wipes in your trunk, and you drive away so its less contact with us but it keeps you safe and it keeps us safe."
Kennedy Miguez, Director of the Diaper Collective of Acadiana, said she has seen people struggling during the pandemic, and she is ready to help those in need.
"People are unexpectedly losing their jobs, not able to provide for their children, and the ability to meet that need has grown, our supply has grown. The need for the supply has grown and we are just excited to help as many people as show up."
Diapers will be available in sizes one through four. For more information you can visit a A Pregnancy Center & Clinic's website.
