Today's Cool School is Northwest High School.
Due to COVID schools cannot hold their annual black history programs, but Northwest High is still celebrating Black History Month with a Gallery Walk of "African American Firsts".
Students in the Social Studies and English Department completed projects on lesser known African Americans who were the first in their respective fields.
The projects included African Americans in the military, government, arts, education and science. The projects will stay up for the entire month of February.
