The City of Breaux Bridge and the Breaux Bridge Garden Club will be hosting a Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 7.
To kick off the celebration, Santa Claus and three of his elves will parachute from a plane down into the city of Breaux Bridge. When he lands, all children in attendance will get the chance to run up and meet him.
While waiting for Santa to ascend from the sky, a fire truck will be parked and available for the children to play on.
This fire truck will be used to escort Santa Claus uptown to Buck and Johnny's Glass Room where the Brazos Huval School of Music will perform Papa Noël Christmas Play.
Later that afternoon, four parachuters will be jumping with flags of the armed forces and the American flag to celebrate and show appreciation for the military.
Toward the end of the evening, activities will migrate to Veterans Park where attendees can enjoy Christmas carolers, six lit Christmas trees that represent each branch of service, a flag retirement service, and the grand lighting of the 20-foot tree.
The event will also feature a Coke truck, face painting, and obstacle course, music, and more.
The celebration requires no admission and is free to anyone who wants to attend.
