Happening Saturday, February 1st, the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce will host their 16th annual Gumbo Cook-off in Downtown Crowley.
The event, which begins at 11:00 am, promises to be a fun-filled day of music, friends, and delicious gumbo.
Chamber President Amy Thibodeaux joined GMA to share more on the event.
Competitors from across Louisiana and out-of-state will be competing to create the best gumbo in the parish.
And those who attend have the chance to help those chefs qualify for the World Food Championship in Dallas.
Besides the chance to taste delicious gumbo, there will also be live entertainment with Chubby Carrier. Music begins at 11:00 am.
Admittance is $10 at the gate and includes all you can eat gumbo.
