Before heading to you're polling place this October, it may be a good idea to get familiar with what you'll be seeing on your ballot.
In this week's Abby's Apps, we find all the essential voting information with the help of Louisiana's Geaux Vote app.
Created by the Louisiana Secretary of State's Office, the Geaux Vote app puts elections and voting information directly into your hands.
Simply log in with your name and address to access voting information tailored to you and your current voting location.
You can find your polling location, see which districts you live in, check the status of your voter registration and even find the nearest registrar of voters office.
For those wanting to see who or what they'll be voting on the next time they step into the voting booth, candidate names and parties as well as detailed descriptions of each proposition and amendment can easily be accessed.
The Geaux Vote app will filter the information so you're not seeing any extra candidates or propositions that won't impact your area.
Users can also change voter registration and sign up for electronic notifications.
Those notifications will make users aware of any last minute polling location changes and let them know about early voting dates and times.
For more on the Geaux Vote App, visit the Secretary of State's Office website.
