On Saturday, March 7, the 2020 Spring Acadia Youth Summit will kick off in Crowley.
This year's event is entitled "Breaking the Cycle."
A community parade will start off the event at 11:00 am on Western Avenue.
The public are invited to attend the free event which takes place at Crowley Middle School.
Guest speakers include Philanthropist and Lawyer, Glenn Armantor, Notre Dame Head Coach Lewis Cook, Athletic Trainer Tamesha Morales, and Director of Operations atTexas Southern University, Linda Coach-Riley.
A focus of the event will be to introduce youth to the prospects of college, trade schools, apprenticeships.
The event is free to attend and food will be provided.
