This morning, our Dave Baker sat down with Jazmyn Jones and Leigha Porter from Heritage Parc to chat about an upcoming summer event for young artists!

Heritage Parc is the nonprofit arts and culture organization that is funding Project L.E.A.P (Learning Everything Arts can Provide). This will be the fourth year for this project.

Project L.E.A.P is a week-long intensive filled with creativity, education, and fun. The project immerses local young artists in a wide variety of creative and performing arts classes such as ballet, modern, improv, hip hop, creative writing, theater, photography, painting and more!

There will be a beginners level and an intermediate/advanced level. The ages are 8-18. The project’s goal is to cultivate the community by providing opportunities for students to express themselves, build confidence, and develop leadership skills. This creates versatile young contributors to society.

Trained dancers, experienced artists, and beginners are all encouraged to attend!

Project L.E.A.P will take place at Basin Arts July 22 -26 from 8 am to 3 pm.
