Crawfish lovers, listen up!

Next month, organizers with Downtown Lafayette are holding an event up on the rooftops and it includes eating crawfish.

Abby Breidenbach was LIVE in Downtown Lafayette with a preview of the Annual Rooftop Crawfish Boil.

The fun happens Wednesday, April 10th from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Parc-Auto du Centreville Garage next to Parc Sans Souci.

The rooftop boil is the biggest fundraiser of the year, according to Downtown Development Authority CEO Anita Begnaud. The annual fundraiser helps to power Downtown Lafayette Unlimited which provides a promotional platform for the businesses and events that downtown has to offer.

Begnaud says the event is a great way for people who love Lafayette to get out and celebrate the culture, fun, and family that make Downtown Lafayette so special.

One ticket gets guest 5 lbs of crawfish and unlimited beverages. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased by visiting DowntownLafayette.org or by visiting the Downtown Lafayette Facebook page. Tables for up to eight guests can also be purchased.

About 600 people have already registered for the event. 800 guests is the limit.

Music will be provided by Lachez-Prise avec Michael Doucet. A silent auction will also be held.
