KATC’s Abby Breidenbach was LIVE Thursday morning at the Lafayette Science Museum where on Saturday, two Burmese pythons will “tie the knot.”

The event is Valentines Day themed and will introduce the community to animals that they wouldn’t normally be introduced to in everyday life.

Along with snakes, the event will have a host of animals including lizards, bugs, reptiles, and sloths. There will be chances for children and families to interact with the animals and take photos.

The Wiggly Wedlock event will unite Thor and Jules together and symbolizes the merger of Zoo-Zoom and Schoolhouse Reptiles to create Lafayette-based Schoolhouse Safari.

The event will also feature demonstrations by The Nutty Scientists of Acadiana and Rescued Abilities Project.

The Lafayette Science Museum will host the event on Saturday, February 9 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Admission to the event is the cost of admission to the Lafayette Science Museum.
