Halloween is a little more than a week away, but there are attractions across Acadiana for those looking for a little scare.

Those looking for a terrifying time can head out to the Fright Trail beginning on Friday, October 26 until Saturday, November 3. The trail is open from 7:00 to 11:00 pm and closes when the last person leaves the attraction.

The trail is outdoors so be sure to wear your most comfortable running shoes.

The Fright Trail is the brainchild of Louisiana nonprofit Literacy, Inc. All proceeds from the trail go towards fighting illiteracy amongst children in Louisiana. Funds will go towards the purchase of eReaders for every public high school student in the state.

General Admission to the Fright Trail is $25 (Cash Only). Tickets can also be purchased online, here. If you enjoy walking through the trail and are up for one more fright, there is a special promotion where you can jump back through the trail for $5.

The trail is not recommended for children under 8 years of age. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
